Simultaneously, rocky crags are more pronounced and defined, meaning that manipulating the vanilla’s shoddy appearance to jump through will be largely reduced, forcing a more immersive and realistic playthrough as a result.Īt first blush, this may seem like a bit too much praise for a single mod that only does a single thing. Clouds are now more transparent, allowing you to see through them easier.

This mod adds textures and details to rocks, hills, and (of course) mountains and mountain ranges all across Skyrim.

While there are many different mods to add textures to water and lightning, very few mods make a point of fixing the mountainous ranges throughout Skyrim. Starting with one of the more unsightly aspects of Skyrim, Majestic Mountains does what many don’t consider. I will mention many of the most popular texture mods are shockingly bad overall.but again if they were great there wouldnt be 8+ different ones.sadly the quality of work is down quite a bit from the original game's mods.and lore friendly is an afterthought.Total Character Makeover Majestic Mountains With vanilla at least you just run around and play the game, not stop every 5mins and looking at some badly matched texture or the bricks in a wall that looks like it was made in the early 1900s.and then had the top melted in acid. Noble Skyrim is very popular, but just one example Riverwood's walkways are covered in a very noticeably repeating pattern of birdcrap and things like that stick out and break immersion. You can pick and choose a few textures at a time from every texture pack out there and tailor together something s a bunch of work though. Or you have some that arent adjusted to the new engine, and look flat or tile very badly. Some just go wild and do whatever they want, doesnt seem like they have half a clue what their textures are used for, and you end up with textures that blend together poorly and constantly stick out. If you mean texture overhauls.honestly none of them are better than vanilla.
